Cher Makes Chart History
Cher is now the only artist in the history of pop music in the U.S. to have an #1 song on a Billboard chart in each of the last six decades.
The Daily Express reports that, with Cher reaching the top spot on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs chart with the Diane Warren song
“You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me,” she now can claim a #1 hit in six different decades. The tune is from the soundtrack to Burlesque and won the Best Song award at last weekend’s Golden Globes ceremony.
Her first U.S. #1 was “I Got You Babe” (with Sonny Bono) and other chart-topers include “Dark Lady,” “All I Ever Need is You,” “If I Could Turn Back Time,” “Believe” and “Song for the Lonely.”
