The Rolling Stones up-date

Spinner.com is reporting that Mick Jagger will perform at this year's Grammy Awards for the first time in his 50-year career. The Rolling Stones frontman will appear alongside soul man Raphael Saadiq as part of a tribute to the late soul legend Solomon Burke, who died in 2010.

The Grammy Awards air on CBS on Feb. 13 at 8PM ET

On a related note, the band has responded to news of a reported 50th anniversary tour, which came to light via a pair of lawsuits between Live Nation and former employee Michael Cohl. "The Stones confirmed today they have no firm plans to tour at this time," a spokesperson announced. "Following the end of the 2007 A Bigger Bang world tour the Rolling Stones became free from any contractual arrangements or agreements with Michael Cohl. He is neither their representative nor their tour promoter."
