A judge has dismissed a lawsuit over the rights to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee's rollercoaster drum set. TMZ reports the suit, filed in September of 2012, claimed that Howard Scott King had given the idea of the rollercoaster design to Lee through the band's agents in 1991.
Motley Crue used a rollercoaster kit during their recent tours between 2011 and 2013. King was seeking at least $400,000 in damages for misappropriation of trade secrets in the Superior Court of California.
According to the TMZ report, the judge determined that King never had exclusive rights to the rollercoaster idea and that Lee designed his version on his own.
